Bihor’s County Council is giving back to its inhabitants a fairy tale land.

We are all proud that Bihor county is a fairy tale land, but the modern age with his rhythm of consumption, pollution and the increasingly aggressive impact on the environment can transform all we love in our county in an unrecognizable place.

This project’s purpose is to protect the natural and financial resources in the county through the implementation of an integrated waste management system (IWMS) that will improve the life and nature quality in the county and will respect environmental protection and the Romanian and European legislation in force.

Through this project, the beneficiary’s purpose is to integrate all the necessary elements for the separation, collection, transport, transfer, treatment, recycling and storage of waste. This activities achieved through European financing will lead to improving the life standards of Bihor’s people, what they will get from now on a suitable waste management service.

What is the integrated waste management system (IWMS)?

In a few words, is a system that includes all waste management activities- separation at source, collection, transport, transfer, sorting and recycling, composting, mechanical-biological treatment and storage in a single system that has the ultimate goal to give Bihor’s people a fairy tale land.
