The word “wastes” complicates our lives. It’s time to change our mindsets. It’s time to see in the scrap a “resource” material. When you hear “waste”, we have to think: do we definitely throw away that material or are there other possibilities for use? The simple answer: there are no trash, there are resources!

An empty dose of aluminum can be a good starting point for an important component in the toy helicopter engine. The plastic cup we drink at the office can become colorful fiber from the flag of our favorite football team.

By recycling wastes can become again raw material and so, they can return into the objects that we love.
If we value the waste, we value the resources of the county. And if we sort waste for recycling by respecting the categories of materials, it means we really love Bihor! The new waste management system is based on the participation of each inhabitant of the county to the common need to protect the environment and the quality of life by prolonging the life of the materials. For this, it is necessary for each of us to avoid that the waste produced in the current activity reaches the environment, thrown at random.

Our common set is to separate the recyclable wastes by their type and use biodegradable leftovers for the production of the compost, where is possible. This must be our contribution to the destiny of the materials and, implicitly, to the environment in the county we love.
The European waste legislation to which Romania joined with the European Union has agreed that particular importance should be attached to the different types of waste, which we must know that we are divided into three distinct categories:

  • Recyclable Wastes: plastic and metal , paper and cardboard, glass
  • Biodegradable Wastes: household wastes and vegetable scraps
  • Residual waste: all that cannot be classified in any of the above categories due to its composition or impregnation with other materials, which makes them unusable.

Here are the types of recyclable waste that we need to identify and separate them:

plastic and metal yellow container
paper and cardboard blue container
glass green container
residual wastes waste container: distributed by the operator
